BPs Voted to Pass A Proposal to Destroy the Unactivated Genesis Accounts and Tokens FIP#9

At the 12th EOSC Mainnet BP Meeting on August 21, 2019 (UTC+8), BPs voted to pass A Proposal to Destroy the Unactivated Genesis Accounts and Tokens proposed by Sky.eosc Node and Awake Node. The proposal proposed to destroy 80% locked genesis accounts and their tokens, 20% unactivated genesis accounts and tokens of Unactivated Genesis Account LockupPlan Proposal FIP#3.

The proposal received 18 yes-votes, 3 no-votes, and 2 abstention votes. According to the EOSC mainnet consensus, the proposal was passed through.There are over 700 millions tokens expected to be destroyed. The destruction time is tentatively scheduled on August 30, 2019 (UTC+8). Users who have not activated their EOSC accounts, please claim the tokens before August 30.

Once the destruction takes effect, the inflation rate of the new tokens in the future will be calculated based on the total amount of tokens after the destruction.
